Standing out has its upside. When people hear my name, a faint snicker appears on their face. When presented with the stain the game slogan, it increases. I guess my eccentricity helps me too stand out in a parody market. But it's tough to be different all the time:
I have had a life worthy of a novel and screen play. So needless to say its a bit harder to relate to others. I'm mean its funny because m music serves as a middle ground. Songs are like a forum dedicated to experience its interpretation. But with all that, some people just don't have the capacity to understand me.
It's tough being misunderstood. I have a tendency to stick out. I have never met the standard criteria or type of guy that is celebrated. I guess I have chip on my shoulder because of it. My attitude has become fuck it. I don't fit in, I was born different like down syndrome.

Living An Unforgettable Dream.
23 days and counting til Paris. The excitement is building at a snail's pace. My eager eyes await their opening. My present life is a beautiful dream. Compared to the nightmare I existed in 5 years ago. I can't help thinking back to my days of darkness and nothingness.
EA stated that he knows he can do it but doesn't. To which I responded its lack of motivation that hinders you. I wake up everyday dreaming up these business plans. My ideas swarm like locust and feast on the music and vibes that are broadcast through the air waves. Our words and delivery are gifts which few have been blessed with. Belief is an essential to the development and spreading of these gifts. To my people out there, you have to want it to achieve it:

- "Strong, deeply rooted desire is the starting point of all achievement. Just as the electron is the last unit of matter discernible to the scientist. DESIRE is the seed of all achievement; the starting place, back of which there is nothing, or at least there is nothing of which we have any knowledge" -Napoleon Hill-

Paris, Music and Life
I'm diggin this so called life of mine. Making small but important developments in the music making process. I search for my audience like a fisherman searching for his catch. Until I find that audience I figure Im just going to wing it.
Bought an MBox 2 so I can get those hood vocals from the hood studio lol. We all start somewhere I guess. Its crazy how Ive mastered the art of writing yet still cant get heard. The challenges of this super saturated market make me pose some serious questions:
1) Can i differentiate?
2) What are my objectives?
3) what is my strategy?
Its like I have a masterpiece waiting for the right brush stroke. Im mulling over the method. Maybe a change of scenary might inspire me!
Im impatiently waiting for Paris. Maybe sittimg on the Seine might clear my head. The funked up subway is killing me. Je voudrai ecouter une musique dynamique et tres extrodinaire. My mind has checked out. I am counting the days like a kid waiting for christmas and a new Playstation just came out!
Until then Au revoir!

Afro Punk and the New York Underground
So I was recently put on to an interesting infusion of music. Red Dragon, a fellow aspiring artist such as myself, told me about the band Belikos. I mean I didn't know what to expect. He couldn't even really describe their style. So there I was at a little venue in LES and BAM! Belikos hits the stage. High Energy doesn't seem appropriate for the the band and its Monster/Red Bull/Crack infused performance. The once passive crowd turned into a dance floor and mosh pit all in one. Their cover of Jay-Z's "I Just Wanna Love" was a phenomenal punkification of a Hip Hop classic. Belikos as a band features a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer and two vocalists. The mix of spitting bars and singing make them unique. Most importantly the band is a mirror image of the budding NYC Underground scene. So peeps if you wanna rock out with a hip hop vibe check these dudes out cause its serious like that.

Making it in America
Phase One: Establishing myself as D Sanchez.
Well I have been rapping for about 10 years now. I am probably one of the most obscure artist ever. I mean my sporadic recording doesn't really match my skill level. I guess i have just been perfect my craft. Every last detail is finally in place. I personally plan on providing the world with one of the greatest rap catalogs the world has ever seen.
Hip-Hop was initially a tool used for forgetting my everyday life. But with growth as an artist, I have done the exact opposite. Many of the difficulties and much of the pain I have dealt with is embedded in my music. Every bar depicts the graphic nature of my life. I am not one to hold back on the details. I think the details are an essential to the development of the project. How can an audience truly connect when they hear half truths? I guess they can't. So here I am posting blogs to tide over the viewing world until I make it.
Music is coming this weekend people.

Snow Day

The 5 Boroughs shut down because of a foot of snow fall. While most peeps was out either digging out their cars or just chillin', I was just listen to beats. Picking out tracks and figuring out what to write about seems to be the biggest challenge of all. 10 years of writing material poses a major dilemma. What do I do with the 10 million bars that have been logged in notebooks, scrap papers and my Iphone? I have enough bars to out record Pac. Really its insane to sit here and read through each page. Each one representing my varying moods. It's like my raps serve as an informal documentary of my life. They're my indirect autobiography.
So why post this blog? I want readers to witness growth. I am an artist literally starting at square one. I have no budget or resources! I am doing this out of pure love of Hip-Hop. This blog serves as a forum to discuss the nuances of the industry. I guess it's like an instructions on how to become a rapper. Its a learning process, so why not share it with the world?
